Public Works: Highway Leaf & Brush Collection

Leaf & Brush Collection - 717-697-6861

Township Leaf Collection

The leaf collections starts in the fall. Each bag or container is limited to a maximum of 40 pounds and can contain only leaves and should be place where residents normally place their trash containers.

The leaves and brush will be collected on the day following a resident’s trash collection day.

Leaves will be dumped by Township crews into a rear-loading truck. The container or bag is to be left at curbside. Residents are asked to leave a brick, rock, or other object that can hold down an empty bag. They also are asked to use plastic bags with a drawstring and not to tie the bag. Just draw the bag tight. Leaves are stockpiled by the Township for composting.

Bags or containers must not contain grass, rocks, stumps, garbage, fruits or vegetables.

Township Drop Off
