PUBLIC NOTICE - LPRB Meeting - April 24, 2014

PUBLIC NOTICE

On April 24, 2014 at 7:00 pm the Silver Spring Townships Land Preservation Review Board will be conducting a meeting about the voluntary land preservation program. The meeting will be held at the Township office building located at 8 Flowers Drive, Mechanicsburg PA 17050.  If you are a person with a disability and wish to attend and require an auxiliary aid, service or other accommodations to participate in the meeting, please contact Jim Bennett, Planning and Zoning Manager at 591-9067 ext. 3507 to discuss how Silver Spring Township may best accommodate your needs.

PUBLIC NOTICE - Zoning Hearing Board Meeting Monday, April 14, 2014

PUBLIC NOTICE

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Silver Spring Township Zoning Hearing Board will meet on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 6:00 pm at the Township Municipal Building, 8 Flowers Drive, Mechanicsburg, Pa. 17050 to conduct a public hearing on and consider the following applications:

Variance 2014-1  Mark E. & Teri A. Oja, 139 Millers Gap Road, Enola, PA 17025. The applicant is requesting a variance to Section 200.5 to permit a 28 x 34 shed within the required 300 front setback.

Variance 2013-12  Pennsy Supply, Inc. 1001 Paxton Street, Harrisburg, PA 17104. Applicant is posing a substantive challenge to the validity of the Zoning Ordinance in accordance with Section 909.1 (a) (1) of the Municipalities Planning Code and Section 604.1 of The Silver Spring Township Zoning Ordinance. The parcel in question is known as Lot 123 of the Millfording Heights Subdivision Plan, Tax ID# 38-07-0457-001. The validity of the Zoning Map is in question. Copies of the application, including any plans and explanatory material may be reviewed at the Township Municipal Building, 8 Flowers Drive, Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania, during the hours of 8:00 A.M. through 4:00 P.M. This is a continuation of the hearing held at the Februarys Zoning Hearing Board meeting. 

Appeal 2013  1  Pennsy Supply, Inc. 6470 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050. Applicant is appealing the denial of a Zoning Application to allow quarrying activities on a parcel in the R-1 zoning district. The parcel in question is known as Lot 123 of the Millfording Heights Subdivision Plan, Tax ID# 38-07-0457-001. The validity of the Zoning Map is in question. Copies of the application, including any plans and explanatory material may be reviewed at the Township Municipal Building, 8 Flowers Drive, Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania, during the hours of 8:00 A.M. through 4:00 P.M. This is a continuation of the hearing held at the Februarys Zoning Hearing Board meeting.

The above applications have been submitted pursuant to Section 604 of the Silver Spring Township Zoning Ordinance. All interested parties are encouraged to attend this hearing.
