2010 Summer Camp Program

Summer Camp


Camp Coordinator: Julia Mentzer Yarlett

For those entering grades 1-8. Meet new friends and enjoy the many activities and exciting field trips. Field trips are taken weekly! Each child must register for a minimum of two weeks! The program runs Monday - Friday, June 14 to August 6. Discounts are available if you register for all 8 weeks.

 

Pre-Registration: February 1 - April 5

 

Cost: $110/wk 1st child and $80/wk each additional child

 

Registration: April 6 - June 7

 

Cost:  $125/wk 1st child and $90/wk each additional child

 

The program runs 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (Extended Day hours are available at an additional fee). Forms are available at the Township Municipal Building (6475 Carlisle Pike).

 

 
Fun Fitness for Kids


KinderDance

 

Instructor:  Miss Candi Ressetar, KinderDance Franchisee

 

Age 2:   This class is designed to build gross motor skills, physical development and body awareness while having fun learning numbers, colors, shapes and songs. Parental assistance may be needed. 

 

Ages 3-5:   This class is a developmental dance/movement and fitness program that includes an introduction to ballet, tap, and acrobatics. Parental assistance may not be needed.

 

*Kids may try the first class for free, if they have not taken the class before.

 

 

 
Lower Back Pain Presentation

This presentation is geared toward those who've had lower back pain due to a herniated disc, spinal stenosis, or sciatica. Learn about a new treatment option that does NOT involve medication or surgery. All ages are welcome.

This 6 week course is offered through "Achievement in Education" and is coordinated with the SAT testing dates through the Cumberland Valley School District. The test dates have been coordinated with our preporatory classes. Students must schedule the test with the School Guidance Department. The SAT Exam should be scheduled through the school district.

"Is it Foreign?"  Beginners learn programs, types of files, copying files and where they are stored, parts of the computer and its operating system, word processing, spreadsheets and Internet basics.

"How Advanced Are You?"  Examine advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the Internet.

Basic Level Fitness Class

Zumba is a fun, effective, and simple fitness system that uses the principle of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning, and total body toning. The explosive Latin rhythms create a party like atmosphere that deliver results, as well as a "feel happy" workout. Zumba is becoming the next fitness sensation! Teens permitted if accompanied by an adult.

Don't have boots? Bring your sneakers. It's not only a lot of fun, its great exercise too! Learn the Boys Will Be Boys, Canadian Stomp, Horsen' Around, Sexy Tractor, Hillbillie Boogie and more. At the completion of the class, everyone is welcome to take a final trip in December to a club called the "Winners Circle."

 

 

 
Mommy Fitness Boot Camp

Mommy Fitness Boot Camp

Mobile Mommy Fitness presents a class for Moms with their children (ages 6 weeks - 3 years of age). Devote just six weeks to getting active and losing the winter layers! Children in strollers or carriers are welcome. Moms get a challenging workout including cardio training, body sculpting and core strengthening exercises. Bring a mat or towel, water and comforts for the your little ones.
